Are you sure it’s God you are serving?? 🤷🏽♀️

This blog is about living every moment in wonder of worship. Wonder and worship are closely connected. I believe the most exciting way of worshiping God is to imagine (wonder) the one one who sits on the throne and all he’s sovereignty.
We serve a great God. Cliché much? Listen, the same sun that you can't directly look at because of the brightness that shines through it, is actually 149.6 million km away from Earth😫 It is said to be sooooo big that you could squeeze 1.3 million Earths in it! That's just the sun, we haven't mentioned the countless galaxies and the planets that keep getting discovered and the infinite different sounds, faces and even laughs...if you truly reflect on those, can you imagine how massive the creator of them all is? JOB 37 “Whenever this happens, my heart stops. I’m stunned, I can’t catch my breath.Listen to it! Listen to his thunder, the rolling, rumbling thunder of his voice. He lets loose his lightnings from horizon to horizon, lighting up the earth from pole to pole.In their wake, the thunder echoes his voice, powerful and majestic.” We tend to think for us to know God on a deeper level we need to pray more or be more spiritual but the foundation of appreciating God doesn't have to be in your life experiences, it could be based on tangible things around us, which are the work of His hands. We normally dismiss the fact that the beauty of nature we marvel at on a daily is the work of His very own hands. The universe and the phenomenal creation we marvel at on a world daily basis did not just appear on it's own, it hasn't always existed, He made that! God crafted all of the beauty we're exposed to and far beyond what we know Now, within the Christian community there's been a division. We all claim to be serving the same God but apart from the biblical God who dominates above all, there's a god we have created for ourselves. If you think about it, in the ancient days, people were rejecting the Gospel because it was life changing through the radicalness of the believers back then but the god we've made up for ourselves as 'Christians' doesn't require much from us, He is here to serve and provide for us. We have dressed up the Gospel so much that it appeals to all. "Seek First the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you" Even when quoting that scripture our primary focus is on us receiving things so we discard the part where we are supposed to do something for Him. And when we seek, we seek His hand and not His heart. With the morden day God, we are being provided for and showered with blessings, He basically is helping us achieve our own goals contrary to the biblical God, who the entire creation glorifies and trembles at the sound of His voice, whom we are to live every second, utter every word and take ach step for His glory. What the society is projecting about God is not all lies, but it is a portion that's in this Gospel. Yes, God provides, blesses and nurtures but this whole life thing is not about Him serving us, it is the other way around. He throughly enjoys doing things for His children but the things He gives us are not meant to be keeping us from worshipping Him, in simple they are not meant to be idols and we are not meant to pick the parts of His principles that appeal to us and leave the rest. He deserves all or nothing. Out of love, we were created and God, more than anything loves us and expects us to respond to His love; THAT is the core principle of the gospel. The enemy has infiltrated the Kingdom, making us self-centred so much that the Kingdom doesn't advance the kingdom. Isaiah 6 An encounter with God will leave you changed and allow you to not be comfortable in sin no matter how normal it is for everyone else by virtue of having seen His holiness displayed. It will leave you wanting more, with an anticipation on what's next after this and will completely do away with all that is you but you worship at His feet In Revelations 4&5, John tries to describe His encounter with God, it sounds so poetic and beautiful but there can never be a perfect description for the one who sits on the throne. We know from the scripture that no mortal has beheld God and lived. Men who had an encounter with God can only describe him using symbolic terminology but his perfection, holiness and glory is far beyond our grasp. People of God let us quit giving our father leftovers but rather serve/love him with our hearts mind and souls.🌹
