I randomly came across this picture on the net, The painting is called first day in heaven byĀ Kerelos safwat. So the painting portrays this woman's first moments in heaven where she is embraced by an angel. From merely looking at the picture I felt unexplainable joy. This got me thinking of how we've gotten too caught up with the things of this world.

It's like our minds are fully occupied by thoughts of us being blessed, us being being healed or us getting delivered, to an extent that there's no space in our heads of imagining ourselves with our Creator. It's as if we don't have the enthusiasm to even imagine ourselves seeing the King in person. How do you not imagine living in eternal peace? Free from pains and torments and free from anxiety of whether you're going to heaven or hellš Because the reality of it all is heaven is as equally real as hell is. Can you imagine your first day in heaven? There's an absurd idea that heaven is boring. Before that thought crosses your mind think of who is in heaven. The same God who created you is the same one who created your taste buds, your dislikes, your strengths and weaknesses, He created your boyfriend/girlfriend (that sometimes seems to be the moreĀ interesting thing than Godš)His creativity is visible in the differentĀ Ā talents we have and every other thing there is in this huge world we live in but for some reason we think that spending our entire life with Him is more boring than this life. Imagine that which you find interesting in life at this moment, believe me when I say God is a million times more interesting than that. 1 Corinthians 2 NLT [9]That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, āNo eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.ā What in your mind might seem like the wildest imagination of what heaven could be like is no match, heaven is nothing our minds could put together in this life, it is beyond what our humanity can grasp. Our experience there will be exhilarating, lol life changing and definitely out of the this world, literally! It is anything but boring up there you guys. The Bible description in Revelations speaks of the streams of gold and buildings of made of gold and that are clear with glass and every other thing in there, this goes to show that God is zealously expecting the day we get to heaven to the point that He has set up an entire city decorated with splendour just for us yet we think he's too boring for usš„ Yes there's some people who don't believe in eternal life, imagine getting to the other side to the dissapointment of finding out that hey this is real after all and having not only to burn your entire life but having to live in dissapointment dor eternity. Eternity is not a million years, it is forever!! All I can do is point a picture of what we can expect in heaven. As I said, heaven can't be grasped by the human mind but here's some things we can expect. ā”There'll be no more tears, I've seen 2 Scriptures by different speaking of this Prophets (Isiah&John) ā”There'll very no more sin, no more of condemnation, depression or anxiety ā”No more fear ā”There'll be no sign of the pressure you're feeling currently It will be filled with everlasting joy, peace, God will be the light for us all and there'll be feasting! Hayi masiyeni guys! Imagine uphoswa yimeal that's prepared ezulwiniš However most important thing we should have enthusiasm for when we get to heaven is finally meeting our creatorā¤ļødo you ever wonder ? What he looks like, how he speaks, his humour, his smile, how his tangible wisdom, joy, love, comfort, protection and atmosphere feels like ? These are things only imagined by the profile of the obsessed. People who have a mind that is preoccupied with God š the way to heaven is to be in love with God. He clearly states in his word (2nd Cor 13) that without love we are nothing/ useless you can cast out demons, have faith that moves mountains, prophecy, be a teacher of the word and so on, but without love you are nothing at all. Thereās more to heaven than just an escape from āhellā itās a place were we āfinallyā meet our first love, itās a place called home. A place filled with righteousness peace and joy in our father our KING. Ā Ā
